Dr Avinder Pasricha
Avinder graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from The University of Queensland. After working at different practices in Victoria and Queensland, Avinder then decided to settle down at Lower Plenty Veterinary Clinic, serving the community for over 20 years now, ensuring that all animals are given high quality care and attention when they need it.
Avinder’s main interests are Orthopedics, soft tissue surgery and medicine, as well as a passion for complementary therapies. He has always enjoyed interacting with animals and as a vet, seeing the difference he can make in the lives of pets and their owners.
Dr Janine Aldred
Janine graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1991. She has worked in mixed and small animal practices in Melbourne, Sydney and the UK. Her veterinary interests include all aspects of small animal medicine, and poultry.
At home Janine has two very energetic Hungarian Vizslas and an assortment of hens and budgies.
Dr Anna Schryvers
Anna completed a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Melbourne in 2013. During the final year of her veterinary degree, Anna received a scholarship to complete an externship at New York City’s Animal Medical Center. Following her graduation, Anna spent some time in Malta, gaining experience within veterinary practice in Europe.
Anna enjoys internal medicine, surgery and diagnostic imaging. Anna has a special interest in ultrasonography. She loves to learn and constantly furthers her veterinary education by keeping up with all the new advancements in veterinary medicine via online courses, seminars and conferences. Anna loves cooking, playing computer games with her husband and spending time with her family especially her toy poodle Pepper.
Anna is very welcoming, kind and holistic in her approach to caring for your family pet.
Patricia joined the practice this year in a newly created role as our Practice Manager, and adds valuable experience to our clinic.
Having run retail and hospitality businesses over the last 15 years with her husband, it has given her years of experience in management and customer service.
Patricia is married and has four children that keep her very busy. She has a Jack Russell called Zara and two cats called Toby and Ollie.
In her down time she likes to spend it with her family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, going to her children’s sporting activities and trying out new tapas bars and restaurants.
Alana joined the Lower Plenty Veterinary Clinic team in early 2016 and is due to finish studying her Associate Degree in Veterinary Nursing later this year.
Alana loves all aspects of nursing but has a keen interest in all things emergency and critical care. She says there’s nothing like watching an owners’ face light up when they’re reunited with their fur-baby again!
Having grown up with a variety of different animals throughout her childhood, Alana loves all kinds of animals but has a soft spot for Labradors in particular after adopting her most recent fur-baby, Igor.
When she’s not here in the clinic, Alana can be found spending time with her two Labradors, Indi & Igor, and rescue kitties Charlie & Pip or planning her next travel destination!
Rebecca graduated from the Associate Degree of Veterinary Nursing in 2018 and then joined the Lower Plenty team in 2019. She has a strong passion for surgery and anaesthesia, and dedicates her hard work towards providing the best patient care.
Since working at Lower Plenty Veterinary Clinic, she has loved every bit of nursing and learning new things everyday, determined to truly excel in helping all patients.
In her downtime she enjoys spending time with her loved ones, being outdoors, and exploring new places and foods.
Since a young age, Erin always had a huge passion towards animals, having grown up in Perth, Western Australia on a family farm amongst dogs, cats, cows, sheep, horses and other farm animals.
After high school, Erin had the desire to become a jockey but after many setbacks and injuries, decided to work towards becoming a Veterinary Nurse, and completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
Erin has been working at the Lower Plenty Veterinary Clinic since 2014, and absolutely loves the work. In the past Erin has also worked with racehorses.
In her spare time, Erin loves to go to the beach, spend time with her two border collies and work on her art business.
Christine joined the Lower Plenty Veterinary Clinic whilst on university placement in 2018. Since then, she has been working for the clinic casually whilst studying her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Melbourne. Once she completes her degree she hopes to work as a mixed practice veterinarian in rural Victoria as she enjoys working with large animals.
Christine has a vast history of experience with animals having grown up on a cattle farm. She has also spent time volunteering with wildlife in South Africa, Orangutans in Borneo and street dogs in Thailand and at home has a Briard named Camo.
